December in the Territory!

Before we get to the new year, let's look back on 2024 in the Territory...

Last year was one of invigoration and opportunity for Territorians, including the announcement of HomeGrown Territory Grants for aspiring and existing homeowners, and the Territory Renewable Energy programs that will incentivise and boost the benefits of solar power for local residents and businesses.

In December we embraced the holiday season with open arms, spending time with loved ones and enjoying community events such as Carols by Candlelight in Darwin and Katherine, and the Christmas Fun Run in the Red Centre.

2024 then went out with a bang!

Territorians farewelled the old and celebrated the possibilities awaiting them in 2025 with their community. Celebrations included the fireworks and shows of New Year's Eve at Darwin Waterfront, the powerful and captivating harmonies at the Alice Sings End of Year Concert, and the entertainment and activities of Katherine's New Year's Eve Celebration!

Here's to being a Territorian in 2025!

With opportunities galore to develop professionally and flourish in our personal lives, the Territory is the place to be in 2025.

As we enjoy the last of the holiday season, there is lots on to keep us busy this January!

The Liquid Light NYE Spectacular will run for a little while longer, allowing everyone the opportunity to experience the show, while the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards will wrap up their 2024 exhibition, giving us a final chance to celebrate the incredible works.

Across the regions, School Holiday Activity Programs will continue running until Term 1, keeping Territorian kids entertained. Katherine will also host a 3x3 Hangout for ballers and gamers to get together for competitions and entertainment!

Australia Day events to represent reflection, respect and commemoration will be held throughout the Territory, including the Refugee World Cup Football Tournament, a celebration of the nations and our multicultural community.
