The remaining equity for the 2025/26 Canola Flexi-starter Pool has now been distributed to participants, delivering another strong outcome.
In the Kwinana Zone, final FIS equivalent equity values were $840.65 per tonne for CAN1 and $750.65 per tonne for CAG1 (not including quality payments). These results represent returns of $35.39 and $34.28 per tonne above the average cash price throughout the same marketing period for CAN1 and CAG1 respectively.
The Pool took advantage of strong canola prices early in the season through a combination of derivatives and physical sales. Good spreads for non-GM canola were also captured when they existed.
A proactive foreign exchange strategy was maintained throughout the year, with the Pool staying ahead of the strengthening AUD, enhancing overall Pool performance and returns.
