The remaining equity for the 2025/26 Barley Flexi-starter Pool has now been distributed to participants, delivering another strong outcome.
In the Kwinana Zone, final FIS equivalent equity values were $338.16 per tonne for MAX1 and $332.16 per tonne for BFD1, representing returns of $8.51 and $8.66 per tonne respectively above the average cash price throughout the same marketing period.
The Pool took advantage of sales opportunities as they arose, building coverage ahead of harvest and largely avoiding the lower prices experienced during November and December.
A proactive foreign exchange strategy was maintained throughout the year, with the Pool staying ahead of the strengthening AUD, enhancing overall Pool performance and returns.
