Harvest across South Australia (SA) is running later than usual due to October rainfall and continued showers in November. While yields are shaping up to be average to above average in most districts, expectations for yields in the Northern Mallee remain lower.
Recent weather has added further delays. Between 18–24 November, Yorke Peninsula and Adelaide recorded up to 30 millimetres of rain, slowing harvest operations.
SA is reporting barley as the main commodity delivered to date, followed by wheat.
