Warmer weather boosts harvest

Harvest momentum is building across the Western Australian grainbelt, with warmer, drier weather helping growers make strong progress. Canola and barley remain the dominant commodities being delivered and receivals across the CBH network continue to climb.

Over the past week, the Esperance, Geraldton and Kwinana North Zones each passed the one million tonne mark, with several sites setting new daily receival records. With extended hours now in place at larger sites, and solid harvesting conditions across most zones, growers are well into their programs and the pace is picking up.
