Procurement workforce survey 2026 now live

Until recently, there has been limited data on workforce size, skills and gaps. Your input will help change that.

The survey is open until Friday 7 August 2026.

We’d like everyone working in public sector procurement to take part. Please share the link with your colleagues.

AoG External legal services – contract extended

The AoG External legal services (ELS) contract has been extended for an additional term and will now remain in effect until 30 June 2028. Existing contractual arrangements remain.

External legal services rates

Rates for the ELS contract are now available on Procure Connect. If you haven’t already, we encourage all ELS participating agencies to register and onboard to Procure Connect.

If you need more information on how to register, or to get started with the process, email us.

AoG IT hardware – webinar to help agencies navigate market conditions

We’re hosting a webinar on Thursday 30 July 2026, with the support of Lenovo (Australia & NZ) Pty Ltd. The webinar aims to help participating agencies navigate current market conditions and ongoing global component shortages.

This session will provide insights into the IT hardware landscape, including:

  • the key global market drivers behind the current component shortage
  • how these market conditions are impacting IT hardware pricing in New Zealand and
  • practical considerations for agencies when planning procurement under the AoG IT hardware contract.

We're inviting agencies and schools to register their interest to attend. We'll send further details to registered participants ahead of the event.

AoG Creative and media services – panel update

From 1 July, a number of providers will be offering an expanded range of services on the AoG Creative and media services (CMS) panel. In addition, some providers have chosen not to renew their AoG contracts and have been removed from the panel.

We'll be publishing an overview of these changes shortly. In the meantime, if you would like more detailed information, please reach out to the AoG CMS team.

We’re also opening the panel to new providers. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for new providers to join closes at 12pm on 14 July.

Provider update
DDB New Zealand Limited has undergone a formal name change and is now known as McCann New Zealand Limited. They'll continue to operate as a single entity while they work towards finalising further changes with Clemenger UnLtd Ltd and Foote, Cone and Belding Limited.

Property consultancy services – provider update

BGIS Limited has been removed from the Property consultancy services common capability contract, effective 2 June 2026. We’ve notified all participating agencies and schools of this change. All property consultancy procurement needs will continue to be met by the existing panel providers, details of which can be found on our website.

If you have any questions, or were impacted by this change, contact us.

Procure Connect – New Zealand government’s commercial centre

Procure Connect is now available for agencies to use and we’re preparing a range of AoG contracts to move to the platform. Participating agencies can already access the Insurance brokering services and External legal services contracts on Procure Connect.

Why Procure Connect

Agencies can use the available AoG contracts and manage the entire secondary procurement process on Procure Connect. From sourcing providers to contract, you can do it all on the secure and flexible platform.

Using Procure Connect gives you better visibility and control of your contracts, and provides a simpler way to work with everything you need available in one place.

Over time, all AoG contracts will move to Procure Connect. Getting started now will make the transition easier for your team. If your agency participates in one of the contracts already on Procure Connect, you can:

  • register your agency on Procure Connect (if you haven’t already)
  • attend our webinars to learn how to use it and
  • start using it for available AoG contracts.

For more information on how to register your agency on Procure Connect email us.
