Don't miss our last skate session before winter

Our May Totem Skate workshop at Bella Vista Pocket Park is coming up on Saturday 2 May and it's one you won't want to miss – it's the last session before we take a winter break!

Whether your little shredder is just finding their feet or ready to level up their skills, Totem's elite coaches have got them covered. Free to join, loads of fun and open to kids aged 6 and over.

Looking for a fun, active school holiday activity?

Landcom is partnering with Netball NSW and CMRC to bring free netball sessions to Bella Vista Pocket Park. With sessions for kids aged 5 to 12-years old on Monday 13 April and Tuesday 14 April.

This is your last chance to register – registrations close 10 April.

Kick off Mother’s Day celebrations


This May, kick off Mother's Day celebrations with a special dance class on Wednesday 6 May, all about family connection. Mums, grandmas and special caregivers are encouraged to join in and share the moment.


Every Wednesday during school terms, Bella Vista Pocket Park comes alive with local tiny dancers at 10am. The Stage Door Performing Arts runs free weekly dance classes, helping kids aged 2 to 5 years-old build motor skills, musicality and friendships.

Youth week 2026: Free events for young people in The Hills

NSW Youth Week 2026 is a state-wide celebration recognising the talents, contributions and voices of young people aged 12 to 24 years-old. The Hills Shire Council has lined up a fantastic range of free events this April:

Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure seeking feedback on Bella Vista District Park

The NSW Government has released the designs for a major new parkland, Bella Vista District Park.


The designs reflect what Landcom heard at workshops held in 2024, and demonstrate the strong partnership between the NSW Government, Hills Shire Council, Landcom, Sydney Metro and the community.


You’re invited to view the designs and share feedback by 5pm on Thursday 23 April 2026.
